I finally got my beloved guitar back from a friend. Under the scorching sun, the ungodly weather it tortured me. I had forgotten how big and bulky it was, having to carry it in the train and buses. Makes me wish I had my own transport. Later in the afternoon, somewhat around 4 I met up with my musical soulmate Dani ♡ and headed straight to Esplanade. We sat outside while it drizzled, waited for Fahmy to end work and talked.
Fahmy came, we had to find a suitable place to have our jamming session. Well, where else but the rooftop? Serves a nice ambience with no interruptions. I am glad I finally found someone I know who enjoy REAL music and not the nonsense I keep hearing on the radio these days. Do you know how difficult it was for me to ask around, if anyone was interested in anything BUT hardcore/punk/pop? Don't get me wrong ☺ I enjoy these genres, just not my preferences for when I play music. I had been waiting for this day to come and at last, it has arrived. Good things come to those who wait. Oh hell, have I been patient.
I learnt to play the ukulele for the first time today. I played it before but with not much confidence. Dani had agreed to let me borrow it. I can finally show off my different musical skills hehe. Later into the night, we walked (WE JAYWALKED, MY DEAR GOD) to Tong Seng (I think I lost all my weight) and satisfied my chicken rice craving (and gained it all back). That's a fulfilling Saturday for me. Another tick on my to-do list!
