So I won a pair of tickets to Warpaint. Initially, I wanted to bring Yasin but serving the government prove to be quite a bitch and so I asked Maffles along. We reached the venue, St James, quite early. 6 to precised. Yes, yes, blame my eagerness. We waited until around 7.10, which then the winners were brought in by a 'queue-jumping' privilege so I got sort of cranky as both my boy and I were fasting and dying of thirst, hunger and impatience. Finally, we broke fast and used our free drinks coupon to redeem a glass of coke.

Talked to a few of the fans, and as the room slowly filled in what seemed about 100-200 people, clock kept ticking and... Warpaint girls entered the premises. Sudden realization that: 1) I have a crush on all of them girls. 2) They play live awesome. 3) I forgot to breathe.

I was standing nearest to Theresa and there was once she looked down on me and gave me a smile. I would've have sworn she sent me to cloud nine. The Warpaint girls were truly amazing. They seemed genuinely shocked too when the fans screamed and sang along. When we demanded for encore, Emily came out alone and played Baby. When the fans sang along with all their soul, she gave this surprised lopsided smile, like we knew all the lyrics by heart. Well, duh, we are your fans.

After the show, met up with Rinniey and Andre. Then both Maf and I went off to have dinner, which we missed, at nearby food court. Also, earlier that day when he met me, he gave me a flower balloon (in the photo) and I, being a sucker for flowers and other tacky romantic things, felt really, really touched. I love you and I am glad to share my happiness with you.
