So I was baking cupcakes at Sarah's place today, while her mother watched the television. I was at the bathroom, didn't lock the door but luckily no one barged in. Sarah asked, "You didn't lock?" "Uhm, no..." "My brother could've just..." "Ahh... Your bro's home?" "Yup." "Well, the last time I saw him-" "He was in his towels." "Oh yeahhh." Twenty minutes later. "I think brother's out of his room." "Haha don't tell me he'd be in his towels." Spoke too soon, and only a second later he emerged through the kitchen doors in his towels, making his way to the bathroom. "It's like he is always in towels every time we meet." "The only way you'll remember him." "In fact, I've never seen him in his clothes. Like, ever. And if I were to meet him on the street, I don't think I'll recognize him." "Unless he is in towels haha!"
We screw up the first few batches of the muffins but no biggy, they tasted awesome. Vanilla mixed with strawberry and lemon essence. It was a complete mistake but it was a complete stroke of genius kind of mess-up. We watched Family Guy, ate lunch, burnt some muffins, reminisced on our school days, talked about her school, and when the night came, the final batches done, she sent me to the bus stop. We purposely missed several buses just to be able to catch up on what we've been missing. Other than the last weekend I have had spent with her, the only other time was about 7 months ago.
Thanks Sarah for the great day, a break of which I needed just so I could keep every other problems at bay. I don't think the time we have missed with each other is a problem unless you make it one. From Richard Templar's The Rules of Life, it says, "Someone once said that a real friend is someone you can be having a conversation with as they get on a plane, you don't see them for ten years and when they arrive back they carry on the conversation as they get off the plane like a moment hadn't passed. That's exactly how it is between good friends."
One more week.
