His 22nd birthday surprise celebration

The morning of... Love and I headed down to Beach Road with his first birthday gift in hand. Tickets in an envelope. Coach tickets to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He kept guessing the place. I told him then that we were staying in a resort in Sepang. The look on his face was priceless. We got a cab for RM100. It was a torturous 2 hour journey. Birthday boy got impatient, worried too that the driver was getting us lost on purpose. Heh, we reached Sepang Goldcoast approximately at 7 in the evening. Finally we checked in at 8.

We were driven to our hotel room by a buggy. The place is huge. We were in awe, jaw hanging open, eyes glistening... The view was amazing. Since we only checked in around 8 (what a peculiar timing), our room was booked. We were upgraded to an even bigger room. How big? A living room, 2 balconies, 2 queen sized bedrooms, a bathtub in 1 toilet and we were the only ones at our lane. It was peace and serenity.

At midnight we walked out of the resort premises, headed to the nearest seafood restaurant nearby and ordered as much as our stomachs could take. Fresh sotong, fishes, clams were lying on a big table. We take any amount of any seafood we think we needed and give to the man in charge, who then will ask how would we like our food served. Spicy sambal, deep fried, sweet and sour etc. Our bill came up to a total of RM40, even after we took 2 meals back to the resort. We watched Hard Candy before falling asleep.

It was a slow day, basking in the sunset, taking a dip in the pool, walks on the beach, making love...

Surprised him in the morning with a complimentary birthday cake courtesy of the staff. The service there was excellent, attending to our every needs and always smiling. We had a pretty rushed breakfast but didn't miss our bus back to KLCC. Had an early dinner as we made our way to Berjaya Times Square. We sat at the Starbucks directly outside of our coach's company office and watched a movie to pass the time. I didn't want the day to end. I didn't want to go home... but at least the time spent together was worthwhile.
